I'm Making Echoes

I'm not worried about what will be etched onto my headstone. That's not my legacy. I'm not really interested in what they write for my obituary in the local paper either. Who writes those anyway?

When I'm no longer walking this planet, here's the amazing thing. Echoes of my life will still continue to be seen and heard. While it may seem trite to some, I love the thought that my life's story continues on through my two sons, Brian and Scott. Additional chapters of my on-going story will be written through my grandchildren, Abby and Grant.

But the echoes of your life go beyond family. Jackie, my wife, and I work everyday with an amazing team at Bluefish TV in Dallas. Talented. Creative. Energetic. Many of them are under 30. It would be impossible for anyone to understand my story without knowing these guys. You need to talk to Andy, Justin, Phil, Wanda, Lonnie, Courtney, Chad, Josh, Pick, Diana, and 65 others.

Hello. Hello. Hello. (I'm making echoes)

There is a ripple effect. Your story continues through your family, your friends, and your co-workers. So even when you are gone, the echoes of your life will continue. You will still be heard.
You will still be heard. You will still be ...

Sharee just pointed out that you had a blog. A whole new thing to do when you wake up in the middle of the night!

I love the post. My view might be from a different angle but there is a lot of truth in your words. You've been an incredible encouragement and your making a big impact.
